Runs from May 4 to July 6, 2025
All great stories have the same formula: Exciting beginning, rising middle, and climactic ending. Whether you plan every plot point before even writing the first chapter, or you write by the seat of your pants and let the story take you wherever it wants to go, the story needs to go through a range of tension-ascending techniques, building to a climax, followed by a satisfying resolution. Over these ten weeks we will be looking at 15 beats designed to keep your reader along for the entire ride.
Join author and book-mentor, MH Salter, for an inspiring and interactive workshop that will keep you excited about your writing, whether you have completed a first draft, or are still in the planning stages. Over these ten weeks, you will focus on your own work-in-progress.
