Manuscript Mentorship

Working with a book mentor can provide you with the guidance needed to get your first draft finished, to get your final draft perfected, and to get you on your way to publication.

Melanie Salter aims to keep you focused on, and excited about, your work throughout the length of your mentorship, encouraging your individual writing style and voice, providing constructive criticism and suggestions to improve your book and increase the brightness, while shining a light on the areas where your manuscript already sparkles.

Once Melanie has read your submitted manuscript, you will schedule in an online meeting for an intensive deep-dive into your manuscript, discussing your work-in-progress, what you wish to improve on, as well as suggestions from Melanie and ways to implement these suggestions during the length of the mentorship. 

In between the weekly zoom calls, you and Melanie will converse via email, text message or voice memo.

The mentorship length of time will depend on the word count submitted and the level of work needed.
